We are the Roots of Change

Working as an artist has filled my life with opportunities to connect within community. In the 70's, creating alternative and political theater,
we called ourselves Cultural Workers. 
This pattern of 'engagement with a purpose,' of adding to the light,
​has repeated many times during my life. 

​I've collaborated in sharing labor movement history as a performer,
created puppet stories with fragile children,  illuminated the struggles of women and marginalized communities
as a musician, worked as an eco-arts educator. . .  and the struggles of our earth family continue.

And, as we grow older life becomes more complex. We are challenged to keep engaging, and to choose how we can (and want) to support our transforming culture.  

It's  important now to be present, to speak and act for the good of one another and to support those who are actively creating our culture.  I believe we are One Earth Family and that each of us has skills & gifts that are needed now. 

So as we begin a transition to Covid-safe activities, I encourage you to attend community events at your favorite cultural venues when you can. And, if you have a yen to join me at a playful singing event, check out Voiceweaving.
