Many Creative Circles have nurtured my life practice as an artist.
As a journey of self-discovery, the Arts also inspire me to

HOME, ONE EARTH FOR ALL
THROUGH HER EYES: The Life and Art of Betty Chilstrom
Through Her Eyes is a newly published book I curated and wrote, sponsored
by the Regional Arts & Culture Council. It tells the story of my mother, painter
Betty Chilstrom, and how she chronicled Portland's historic architecture, homes, and cityscapes during the second half of the 20th century. Large urban renewal projects of the late 1950's marked the beginning of relentless change in Portland. Many of the places she painted no longer exist. Select paintings from the book are now on exhibit at NE Portland's Cerimon House through Spring 2019. You can buy the book HERE.
